Vibes Of Inner City Echoes
is an artistic movement to bring back the essence of the Harlem Renaissance and remix it into a new millenium flavor. Where innovation meets artistic expression, romance and passion shines again. VOICE will exploit and report on new inventions of theatre, music, acting, dancing and writing.
The traditions of fresh artistic expression has been birthed in the heart of the inner-city. Where expression bleeds from the heart of those struggling to overcome hardships and the sufferings of oppression. Jazz greats such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane... and writer's such as Jean Toomer, Langston Hughes, Zora Neale Hurston, Nella Larsen etc. had made an impact on their generation. We need to step up our game and shake up the world of the information age with something fresh new and awe inspiring. We are looking for that author, rapper, songwriter and artist with the VOICE and movements of their generation. A VOICE that will speak beautiful redemption to a gun overloaded, inner-city impoverished, drug sick, greedy and warmongering world. Let's inspire a generation to express their emotions in a positive way and grasp the beauty of life and truth!
